Your Role:
The Video and Audio Engineer at the Burlington, MA site will support live broadcast and studio operations. This role will have hands-on experience with Ross video switchers, broadcast routing infrastructure, and professional audio systems including Dante networks and Yamaha QL5 consoles. This role is responsible for ensuring all technical systems perform reliably and efficiently during production, contributing to high-quality broadcast output. Job duties include:
- Operate, configure, and maintain Ross video switchers (e.g., Carbonite, Acuity, for live and recorded productions.
- Support and troubleshoot routing infrastructure, including baseband and IP-based routers, multi-viewers, and signal distribution systems.
- Collaborate with directors, technical directors, and production staff to ensure accurate signal flow and system readiness.
- Configure, operate, and maintain Dante audio networks, including routing, patching, device management, and system troubleshooting.
- Operate and support the Yamaha QL5 audio console for live broadcasts, events, and studio productions.
- Ensure audio quality, signal integrity, and proper integration with intercoms, IFBs, and other production systems.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve technical issues across video, audio, and control systems.
- Assist with system upgrades, integrations, and new equipment installations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of signal paths, workflows, and equipment configurations.
- Provide technical support during live productions, sometimes on evenings or weekends.
- Collaborate with the production team to execute technical elements of shows while training operators and production staff on the proper use of equipment and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, facility procedures, and safety protocols.
- Occasionally may require flexible hours.
Physical Attributes:
- Capacity to lift equipment (up to 40 lbs) and work in technical areas such as racks and control rooms.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Engineering, Media Technology, or Audio Engineering
- 3 + years of experience in broadcast engineering or live production
OR
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 + years of experience in broadcast engineering or live production
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with broadcast infrastructure and Expression graphics workflows.
- Knowledge of SMPTE standards, UHD/HD formats, and IP-based production systems (SMPTE 2110).
- Proficiency with Ross video switchers and broadcast routing systems.
- Strong working knowledge of DANTE audio networking; Dante Level 1/2 certification a plus.
- Experience with Yamaha QL-series audio consoles.
- Familiarity with SDI, IP video, audio-over-IP, intercom systems, and broadcast signal flow.
- Capability to troubleshoot under pressure in a live production environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.

Pay Range for this position: $ 76,200.00 - $114,300.00
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
