Reporting to the EHS Manager you will contribute to our success by providing EHS support services at the Fawdon pharmaceutical site. You will support EHS compliance and the development of the site EHS management system and a culture of continual improvement, including the roll-out and monitoring of safe working procedures to enable implementation of wider site strategy.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain progressive EHS management systems ensuring they are relevant, suitable and effective to meet company and legal requirements.
•Contribute to the development of and implement processes and tools providing access to essential EHS information for line managers relating to risk assessments, incidents and CAPA actions.
•Support achievement and retention of ISO 14001 & 45001 certifications and actively participate in externally led audits as required.
•Compile routine and bespoke registers, records and monthly reports and metrics to meet external and corporate requirements and inform site and EHS management, EHS Forums and external authorities regarding status and trends in support of improvement initiatives and projects.
•Assist Departmental Managers with the completion and maintenance of EHS risk assessments to ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation.
•Participate as required in inspections, incident investigations and internal audits of safe working practices and management systems ensuring the timely processing, tracking and expediting of prioritised action plans arising from inspections, incidents, EHS observations and audits.
•Support EHS training planning and co-ordination, EHS training delivery against schedule, reporting training needs, attendance and delivery performance.
•Assist the EHS Manager in effective consultation with appointed EHS Representatives and the smooth running of EHS Governance meetings.
•Enable the provision of competent advice and guidance to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
