Overview
This position is for a 2nd shift 2:30pm-11:00pm Quality Inspector I in the Repligen Clifton Park Quality group. This position will be responsible for inspecting products against the accept/reject criteria and assisting manufacturing with identifying and solving issues relating to rejects. The shift will be primarily on 2nd, but will cover the start-up of 3rd shift operations.
Responsibilities
- Ability to assess and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, and standards to determine quality status
- Responsible for area cleanliness
- Document results of inspections. Identify and clearly communicate nonconformance’s to specified requirements to Management in timely manner and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
- Basic math competency
- Understanding of measuring instruments
- Ability to gown appropriately and operate in an ISO 7 environment
- Use Microsoft Office & other related software to accurately document and maintain associated paperwork and inspection results in a consistent and timely fashion
- Assist in other quality functions as needed
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or relevant experience preferred
- Previous experience in a QA or QC based position preferred
- Effective and concise communication skills verbal and written
- Ability to use testing equipment and supplies accurately and efficiently
- Previous experience working within a cleanroom environment preferred
- Medical devices or medical manufacturing experience is highly desired
Physical Requirements:
- Must have 20/20 or corrected 20/20 vision
- Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $20/Hr. -$21/Hr. with a $1/Hr. shift differntial. .
