Your Role:
As an Associate Production Scientist, you will perform routine and non-routine chemical manufacturing, following established protocols and procedures. You will perform in-process analytical testing, and update batch records and computer systems. Also, provide lab support and maintain equipment and identify unsafe conditions, participate in incident investigations and safety meetings, and achieve defined personal development goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safety and Compliance: Execute all tasks safely, adhering to EHS policies and procedures. You will proactively halt work when unsafe conditions arise.
- Manufacturing Execution: Dedicate approximately 70% of your time to executing Process Orders and directly supporting manufacturing activities.
- Quality Assurance:
- Follow ISO:9001:2015 standards, GDP, and the site Quality Program, and support execution of deviations, Change Controls, and CAPAs
- Reliability: Maintain inventories, materials, and equipment and resolve or elevate risks to Safety and/or Quality teams as appropriate.
Physical Attributes:
- Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and able to push and pull heavy materials
- Able to sit, stand, hear, and use hands to operate equipment
- Able to work in a glove box while sitting or standing for up to an hour at a time
- Vision requirements are close vision and ability to adjust focus
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time including but not limited to:
- Respirator or PAPR
- Hard Hat
- Safety Shoes
- Safety Glasses
- Hearing Protection
- Chemical and/or cut resistant gloves
- Company issued work clothes
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or other Physical Science discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of previous lab experience with a background in chemistry
- Good oral and written communication skills as well as computer skills
- Basic understanding of ISO and quality systems
Pay Range for this position: $25-$39/hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
