Overview We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer E&I to support different important projects for a client in the pharmaceutical sector in the region of Brussels. This function is open for freelancers and employees.

Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site.
Responsibilities Tasks:
The SME E&I will act as a technical expert and owner for Electrical & Instrumentation packages across multiple projects, from design to commissioning.
Reporting line: Reports to the Engineering Lead / Project Manager
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for Electrical & Instrumentation.
- Review and challenge:
* URS.
* Technical and functional specifications.
* Electrical drawings, PFDs, calculations.
- Define and apply standards, norms and engineering guidelines.
- Participate in:
* Design reviews (basic & detailed design).
* RFQs and supplier selection.
* HAZOP, risk analysis, safety reviews. - Follow construction activities:
* Field presence when needed.
* Spot checks and quality controls. - Support:
* FAT / SAT.
* Commissioning and qualification phases - Ensure HSE, safety rules and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and ensure proper handover.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Minimum: 10 years of relevant experience.
- Very senior profile preferred.
- Experience required in:
* Electrical & Instrumentation engineering
* Industrial or regulated environments
* Project execution (design to commissioning) - Previous experience with engineering departments or engineering offices is expected.
- Strong expertise in Electricity & Instrumentation.
- Experience in :
* Electrical design and calculations.
* Technical specifications and RFQs.
* Commissioning & qualification activities. - Ability to:
* Read and understand technical documentation in English.
* Work across all project phases. - Safety awareness is critical :
* Knowledge of Belgian electrical safety regulations (RGIE / equivalent).
* BF5 certification is required (training can be completed if missing). - Experience in regulated environments (pharma or equivalent).
- French mandatory.
- Good level of English (technical understanding).
- Previous experience in:
* Pharmaceutical industry
* Maintenance or facilities engineering - Experience with:
* EPC / EPCM projects
* Energy optimization initiatives - Background in other highly regulated industries (food, nuclear, aerospace) is acceptable.
