The GENG China/SEA Office head, is representing Global Engineering in China and SEA and is responsible to
- steer capital investment projects throughout the capital project cycle from concept throughout the facility GMP operational readiness
- direct and maintain a GENG team with all relevant capabilities for regional delivery as well as for global support (back-office function).
- promote the strategic development of the function in the China/SEA
- advocate M&A activities in the region
Meanwhile, as part of the Leadership Team of GENG. It is essential for job success to conduct effective communication internally and externally to ensure alignment with all relevant functions, especially Internal Auditing, Procurement, Global Supply Chain Organization, AIS, Quality and Manufacturing (global and on-site level) and finally with external service providers.
Key roles and responsibilities
- Strategic development of the GENG China/SEA Office in alignment with the company strategy
- Budgeting/controlling of targets of the function
- Governance of capital investments related to manufacturing expansion, process improvement, and new technology implementation in the region along all project phases
- Key contribution to strong and safeguarded business cases especially for growth capital investments and M&A of existing asset
- Providing the right GENG capabilities (owner’s team/competence center), which includes the backward integration to the Chinese GENG organization, lessons learnt on global level, risk management and the structured and disciplined execution following best practices
- Responsible for employee management, hiring, succession planning and talent development through coaching and mentoring.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in mechanical or biological engineering
- Minimal 10-year international experience in managing pharmaceutical capital investments
- Need thoroughly analysis to find problems, innovatively solve problems without precedent
- Need strong persuasiveness
- Develop implementation plans to achieve operational and strategic plans
