Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Routinely inspect animal facility hardware and equipment to ensure stable operation and compliance with requirements, and timely problem solving.
- Support in making the animal facility equipment maintenance, calibration and verification plan, and implement the plan accordingly with the guidance of operation manager to ensure obtain the certificates timely.
- Support in animal facility self-inspection and submit required documents to authority to meet authority requirements.
- Support in daily facility hygiene and environmental safety inspections to ensure biosafety meet ABSL-2 requirements.
- Provide technical support for studies or testing, such as dosing, handling, sample collections, etc. covering all species including swine, feline, canine, rodents, poultry, rabbit, fish etc. to ensure studies adherent to requirements, process, timelines and animal welfare.
- Other activities related to animal facility operation and clinician responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in veterinary medicine, clinical veterinary, animal science or related major
- Sufficient knowledges and at least 3 years experiences in animal facility operation.
- At least 3 years of experiences in animal research studies.
- Familiar with related regulations and requirements for experimental animals, animal welfare, AAALAC.
- Strong learning ability, prompt responsiveness, excellent problem-solving skills, and proactive attitude.
- Good in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
