Job Summary:
The Quality Control Intern (Document Archival) will support WuXi Biologics’ QC department by organizing, reconciling, archiving, and maintaining GMP documentation. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to regulated biologics manufacturing, QC operations, and quality systems. This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking real‑world experience in biologics quality control, documentation compliance, and GMP archival processes.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, scan, archive, and maintain QC GMP records according to WuXi Biologics’ documentation procedures
- Support document issuance, retrieval, reconciliation, and archival—activities consistent with QC roles at WuXi Biologics' Cranbury site.
- Maintain manual archive systems; ensure traceability and version control aligned with WuXi’s global quality system.
- Label, shelve, and track archived documents, including logbook and record storage.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and WuXi’s ALCOA+ data integrity standards.
- Ensure all documentation meets cGMP requirements as practiced across WuXi’s QC and QA functions.
- Support document retrieval for internal/external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Coordinate with QC testing teams, QA Document Control, and other stakeholders to ensure timely archival of executed QC documents
- Assist in locating and preparing required documentation during client audits or regulatory inspections.
- Identify opportunities to streamline document flow, archival indexing, and storage processes.
- Maintain inventory logs for archived material, consistent with WuXi QC workflows.
- Support day‑to‑day QC operational organization, including assisting with logbooks and filing systems.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Ability to work with confidential GMP records and manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Growth mindset and curiosity about biologics quality control.
- Good software operation skill, intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Problem Solving: Proven experience in risk mitigation planning and ability to solve complex QC technical and operation problems. Be able to make appropriate judgment and decisions based on available knowledge and data to ensure the safety and success of the manufacturing support and product testing.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills). Must be able to collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, and support functions to achieve alignment and work effectively.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $20-$30hr based on education level.
