Documentation Support Intern - Bpm (biological product Manufacturing)

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm

Position Summary:
The BPM department at Zoetis is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to assist in updating and enhancing training materials, including procedures, On-the-Job Checklist (OJTs), job aids, and logbooks. This role will focus on improving clarity, consistency, and visual appeal of documentation to support robust training within BPM operations. Additional minor projects may be introduced as well as the process evolves.
Position Responsibilities:
- Review and update existing procedures, OJTs, job aids, and logbooks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Incorporate high-quality images and graphics into documentation for improved visual guidance.
- Edit and enhance photography for inclusion in training materials.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to validate technical content.
- Utilize Microsoft Word and other tolls to format and standardize documents.
- Ensure documentation updates meet regulatory and internal standards with the aid of SMEs.
- Communicate progress effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Adhere to gowning and cleanroom requirements when accessing production areas for documentation purposes.
Internship Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Technical Communication (or Profession Writing) or Life Sciences (Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences) with a Minor in Communication or Technical Writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic document formatting.
- Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Motivated and dependable, with excellent time management skills.
- Good communication skills for interacting with cross-functional teams.
- Basic knowledge of photo editing and graphic design tools.
- Ability to comply with gowning requirements for cleanroom environments.
The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position:
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $16.00 per hour.
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $22.00 per hour.
If the selected candidate is a student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $32.50 per hour.
If the selected candidate is a student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $36.00 per hour.
The following hourly pay rates reflect the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Illinois (Chicago area), Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington (Seattle area):
Student pursuing an Associate-level degree: $17.00 per hour.
Student pursuing an Undergraduate-level degree: $24.20 per hour.
Student pursing a Graduate-level degree: $36.40 per hour.
Student pursuing a Doctorate-level degree: $40.30 per hour.
