Based in Ennis, Co Clare, we are now recruiting for a
Senior Software Development Engineer. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our spirometry applications—software used every day by clinicians worldwide to diagnose and manage respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD.
You’ll join a highly collaborative, cross-disciplinary team of software, hardware, and mechanical engineers, working together to deliver reliable, regulated medical software that directly improves patient outcomes. This is a hands-on role where your code ships, your ideas matter, and your work has real clinical impact.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop key elements of the spirometry software roadmap.
- Turn high-level requirements into clear, well-scoped engineering tasks.
- Help deliver high-quality, production-ready features at every release.
- Work collaboratively within an agile, sprint-based environment.
- Contribute positively to team dynamics with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
- Take ownership of your work and help move projects forward with urgency and pride.
- Support planning, scheduling, and delivery of software releases.
- Ensure all development aligns with quality and regulatory standards within a medical device QMS.
- Produce clear documentation and project artefacts as part of each release cycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree (or equivalent) in Software Engineering or a related discipline.
- 4+ years’ professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years with C#.
- Strong technical capability with the confidence to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- A team-first mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine sense of ownership.
Advantageous
- Experience with Visual Studio .NET and DevOps.
- Experience with SQL Server / SQL Server Express.
- Experience developing WPF applications.
