PETNET Solutions, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Healthineers, is the global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of PET radiopharmaceuticals. The Vice President of Manufacturing plays a critical executive role in overseeing all aspects of production operations across a decentralized network of facilities in the United States. This position is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and strategic alignment with the company’s long-term goals.
Role Overview
The VP of Manufacturing provides leadership and direction for centralized support functions including Field Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Cyclotron, and Chemistry Support. This role is accountable for the delivery of high-quality radiopharmaceuticals, supporting outstanding patient care, and driving continuous improvement across all production sites. The position requires a strong focus on operational efficiency, cost control, compliance, and innovation, while fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement short- and long-term business strategies to support PETNET’s mission and growth objectives.
- Provide executive leadership in defining production vision, performance goals, and accountability measures.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align manufacturing operations with broader organizational goals and market demands.
- Lead business expansion efforts, including site development, staffing, equipment procurement, licensure, and training.
Operational Oversight
- Oversee decentralized production departments, including regional operations directors and the Sr. Director of Operations.
- Ensure consistent operations across all sites, maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and service delivery.
- Monitor performance against operating plans and budgets, making adjustments as needed to meet financial targets.
- Drive operational efficiency through LEAN principles, process improvements, and technology adoption.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards including cGMP, FDA, DOT, radiation safety, pharmacy laws, and internal policies.
- Oversee quality control and assurance processes to maintain product integrity and safety.
- Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Supply Chain & Technical Support
- Manage tactical procurement, inventory planning, and logistics for domestic and international operations.
- Oversee the Production Support Lab and services portfolio to support internal and external customers.
- Provide 24/7 technical support for production equipment and applications, including process chemistry and QC systems.
- Lead training programs for field employees and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, service, and other departments to implement strategic initiatives and improve customer experience.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers, vendors, host institutions, and Siemens partners.
- Serve as a key interface between centralized and decentralized teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
Talent Development
- Foster a high-performance culture and spirit of ownership across the production network.
- Develop leadership within the production team and ensure ongoing training and development of personnel.
- Manage corporate relationships with business partners and support long-term organizational growth.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- B.S. or M.S. in engineering, chemistry, pharmacy, or related sciences; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in multi-site manufacturing operations, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in PET radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and hazardous material handling.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development and customer relationship management.
- Experience in cGMP environments and familiarity with FDA audit programs preferred.

- Ability to travel up to 50% as required

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is
Min $232,080 - Max $348,120
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
