Repligen is seeking a hands-on, skilled CNC Programmer and Operator with expertise in Mastercam to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts to specification. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of G-code, Mastercam, machining processes, and quality control standards.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify CNC programs using Mastercam for milling operations.
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines (3-axis and/or 4/5-axis, depending on equipment).
- Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for machining operations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.).
- Troubleshoot programming or machining issues to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of jobs, tooling, and setups.
- Ensure machines are properly maintained and cleaned.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC milling and programming.
- Proficient in Mastercam for creating and editing CNC programs.
- Proficient in using 3D model software to develop milling programs
- Strong knowledge of G-code.
- Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-axis CNC milling machines.
- Familiarity with other CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
- Experience in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
