Role Description:
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced solutions across data science and data engineering domains. Your responsibilities will align with your specialization, focusing on either innovative algorithm development and AI research or data pipeline design and engineering excellence, all contributing to impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex requirements and propose tailored algorithmic or engineering solutions.
- Develop and deploy scalable machine learning models or data solutions, ensuring high performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and product managers, to translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
- Maintain a high standard of code quality, scalability, and security.
- Stay updated on cutting-edge AI/ML and data engineering technologies, integrating them into projects as appropriate.
- Algorithm Development: Research, develop, and optimize machine learning models such as neural networks, ensemble methods, and NLP techniques (e.g., Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, GNN, LLMs).
- AI Research & Innovation: Design and implement novel algorithms to solve business problems, especially in NLP, generative AI, and optimization.
- Data Preparation: Perform comprehensive data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing for high-quality inputs to models.
- Performance Monitoring: Iterate on model performance to meet requirements for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Visualization & Insights: Create compelling data visualizations to communicate insights and findings.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years of work experience in related fields.
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, or C++).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English preferred.
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with NLP, GNN, and LLM development; prior publications in relevant fields are advantageous.
- Hands-on experience in AI/ML model development and deployment.
- Strong statistical analysis skills and a passion for applied research.
