We have a fantastic opportunity for a PI Engineer to work on an exciting CapEx project in Dublin on an initial 12 month contract. As PI Engineer you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a new state of the art facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for this x role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Must be solutions orientated, delivery focused and passionate about supporting production with technical support solutions.
- Working within site PI team to configure, maintain and optimise the site PI Historian.
- Integrate new systems and tags to the site PI Historian as required, following site change management / change control procedures.
- Supporting data interfaces testing to auxiliary control systems.
- Develop and deploy Asset Frame & Event Frame capability to site PI Historian
- Work with customers / consumers of PI data to meet their data requirements
Desirable Experience:
- Degree in Automation, Engineering, or related field with substantial experience in this field and within a sustaining project environment.
- Extensive years PI experience in the biotechnology industry
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
- Experience integrating various control systems (DCS, PLC, etc) with PI Historian.
- Systems Integration/Interfacing experience using PI interfaces (e.g. PI to PI, OPCDA, OPCHDA, OPCA&E, RDBMS, EMDVB, UFL) and Kepware OPC server on control systems on wider production systems a plus.
- Experience with other Automation systems (e.g. DCS, PLC, Portable Lab Equipment, BACnet) in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with operating in a fully automated plant
Familiarity with GMP change control requirements
